BPC Field Trip to DePauw Nature Park -- October 15
Hi all,
Listed below are some links for you to have a preview of the various sites there are for the DePauw Nature Park and the surrounding area and some side attractions for your consideration like the covered bridge festival as it will be in full swing and some historical war monuments.

We will be leaving out from the West side Starbucks at 8am on Saturday morning. Please park in the back side of the Bed Bath and Beyond lot if you are leaving your car for the day.
We will be meeting up for lunch at Mama Nunz in Greencastle at 12:00pm… http://mamanunz.net/default.aspx Mama Nunz Italian Steakhouse 800 South Main Street Greencastle, Indiana 46135 (765) 653-8402

Here is all the information about the Nature Park: http://www.depauw.edu/univ/naturepark/ General Park Information: The DePauw Nature Park consists of 520 acres of forest, fields, and abandoned limestone quarry. Hanson Aggregates donated most of the land for the park to DePauw in 2003. DePauw purchased adjacent acreage. The property was the site of an active limestone quarry from 1917 to 1977. The limestone rock began forming 350 million years ago from the remains of animals living on the bottom of an inland sea that covered this region. The park has 10 miles of walking trails, a primitive campground, and an outdoor classroom. Click here for a trail map and trail lengths. There are connecting trails that link the main campus and the Nature Park. There are areas that you can park to limit the time walking on trails and to help with accessibility. Many of the trials are hard packed flattened paths that aren’t too steep for a scooter or those of us who would rather expend our energy shooting rather than hiking.
This link is to the general DePauw campus History and Traditions: http://www.depauw.edu/visitors/traditions/index.asp there are some very lovely places around the campus to take some great shots.

The park will be whatever you wish to make of it. It can be a short day or you can make a day of hiking and shooting out of it. Please make sure that if you are carpooling, that you are with like-minded people.
As we have mentioned, the covered bridge festival will be taking place and so a few good links to check out are:
