The Bloomington Photography Club has a block of rooms in the newly renovated Super 8 motel in the town of Logansport. Single room = $45 +tax and a double room = $50 +tax. Please phone 1-574-722-1273 to reserve your room and let them know that you're with the Bloomington Photography Club.
The motel offers free wifi and a free generic breakfast. Or if you'd rather there are various restaurants within walking distance of the motel.
There are a number of other nearby hotels if you'd prefer to stay somewhere else.
Our Saturday will mainly have events in Peru. Peru will be host to their circus parade with authentic circus wagons, clowns, calliopes, floats and bands. The parade is the longest running circus parade in the United States, and second largest parade in Indiana. There will also be a big top performance experience the beautifully costumed young performers who are so skilled that circus fans find it hard to believe they are amateurs; enjoy the rides, food, games and more on the main streets of Peru.
Please email me: rrezvan@bluemarble.net if you know you'll be attending the performance on Saturday. We're hoping to qualify for a group discount for tickets and we've been offered "press passes" to behind the scenes access and I need to have a head count for the needed passes.
As Saturday will be rather busy, we won't have a scheduled lunch. We will have a dinner gathering in Logansport at Mr. Happy Burger. Please view a very short video about the restaurant here: http://www.wthr.com/story/28397726/mr-happy-burger-serves-up-smiles-in-logansport
