Each year the owner, Jerry Masse, hosts a special public event in which artists pour iron from furnaces to create sculptures. The pour begins around sunset. Come earlier and wonder the woodland trails which feature sculptures by artists from around the world.

July 30th — 7th Annual Fire @ Night

This is the last chance of the summer to make your very own cast iron relief sculpture! Make sure you arrive early so you have plenty of time to work on your scratch block masterpiece. Music to entertain you during the day will be provided by “Totally Tunes DJ”, plus food will be available. Hang out and talk to artists from all over the country as well as from the United Kingdom. Ask these cast iron masters for any helpful hints for your own work of art. They are very willing to help you create a masterpiece! Scratch blocks are available for $20 each.

The Foundry Crew will start pouring iron as the sun sets, this makes a spectacular viewing event! See the 3000˚ glowing molten iron poured into your scratch blocks right alongside the huge sand molds made by the Cast Iron Workshop participants who have been working hard on their molds all month. This is an event you don’t want to miss!
