8 AM – Leave for Indianapolis from the Sam’s Club Lot on the West Side of Bloomington. We will park near the gas pumps. If you don’t wish to caravan, meet the group at the Morton Statue in Indianapolis.
Best Indy Parking: 152 W. Wabash. A surface lot with a ticket writer. Bring $10 cash for up to 3 hours. Other possibilities are the Hilton at 120 W. Market or 33 Capital Avenue which are more expensive.
9:30 AM – 10:45 AM. Historic Downtown Walking Tour with Guide. We will meet at the Morton Statue, intersection of Capitol Avenue and Market Street in Indianapolis. Cost is $5 per person. The guide will take us on a walking tour of the buildings and landmarks around Monument Circle.
10:45 AM – 11:15 AM. Free Time to photograph missed buildings and people.
11:15 AM – 11:30 AM. Drive to Newfields (Indianapolis Museum of Art). The address is 4000 Michigan Road in Indianapolis.
11:30 AM – 12 PM. Arrive and park at Newfields. Enter the museum and pay the reduced entrance fee of $15 per person as a BPC member. Meet in the café. You can either eat a quick lunch or take deep breaths to clear the brain, warm up, and virtuously lose weight.
12 PM – 1 PM. Docent presentation about Gardens and Greenhouse Flowers. Note: Tripods may not be used in the greenhouse but may be used anywhere in the gardens. After the presentation, we break up into Groups 1 and 2.
1 PM – 2:30 PM. Group 1 photographs in the Greenhouse and Group 2 photographs in the gardens. We are on our own in both locations which will be open to the public as well.
2:30 PM – 4 PM. Groups 1 and 2 switch locations.
4 PM to 5 PM. Drive to Gray’s Cafeteria in Mooresville.
5 PM - ?? PM. Dinner at Gray’s, 555 S Indiana St, Mooresville, IN. After dinner, we drive back home.
