Portrait Focus Group

The purpose of the Portrait Focus Group (PFG) is to help and guide anyone interested in taking people pictures, improving their images, sharing them with others, and learning  posing tips and basic portrait principles in the time that we have in an evening meeting.

I am always happy to meet with members individually if they want to schedule a time to meet me at my studio and show me their work. I will try to answer any questions regarding portraits, technique, tips and equipment.

The Portrait Focus Group allows photographers to delve more deeply into their areas of interest--for example, family, children, weddings, head shots, groups, relationships, or individuals. Also, we get to know each other better in a this kind of group setting, and we can share tips and tricks and learn from others who have similar interests.

Our group has 1 or 2 professional photographers who help to mentor and guide our growing numbers. One of our goals is to compile a collection of select images from each member to show in a multi-media slide presentation at the Bloomington Photography Club's December meeting.

We meet on the third Thursday of every other month, starting in February. Meetings start at 7:00pm and held via Zoom. Please check the club calendar or contact Kip May at 812-345-0142 concerning future meetings.
