ZOOM Meetings
During this time of social distancing, we are planning to conduct some of our Bloomington Photography Club meetings as online meetings using Zoom software. Zoom is a free software package that allows for video conferencing, online meetings, and group messaging. It runs on Androids, Windows, Macs, iOS, and other mobile devices using WiFi, 4G/LTE and 3G networks. You will need to install Zoom software on your device prior to the meeting. You can create an account and download Zoom software here.
Your computer must be equipped with a camera and a microphone to fully participate. Your cell or landline phone may be substituted for a microphone. You can go to this website to familiarize yourself with Zoom and watch training videos. You can also join a test meeting if you want to test your audio and familiarize yourself with meeting controls. Microphones as USB attachments are available on Amazon ($20-35) and microphones with a camera for a bit more.
Due to security issues, only BPC paid members will be invited to attend our Zoom meetings. You will receive an email with instructions for each meeting that we host. If you are a paid member and you have not received an email inviting you to attend the monthly meeting, please email bloomingtonphotoclub@gmail.com.
